Food & Drink

Italian food is very traditional and consists mainly of; pasta, meat, bread, fish and tomato sauces, no frills but very tasty!

The Italians like to sit down and eat and take their time with it! This is an important part of the day for Italians. The preparation of the food and the social aspect are all part of this too. It is a time when families and friends sit down together and enjoy their meal and each others company. You will notice that not many Italians walk along the street whilst eating a sandwich! Wine usually accompanies the meals (which they often mix with water) and there is always still water/mineral water (acqua naturale/acqua frizzante) available. Hardly a fizzy drink can in sight.
